Let’s say it straightforwardly. It’s not easy to have a good day every day.
With unexpected events, distractions, people around… the plan can quickly go awry.
By the end of the day, even if you’re exhausted, you may not have completed half of what was planned.
So, you might feel disappointed in yourself or reassure with a hopeful “tomorrow will be better!” However, what happens one day tends to repeat itself.
The same causes often lead to the same effects. In short, it’s not easy.
What can help? A daily plan.
A guideline to follow no matter what happens. Even if the day derails or turns into a total catastrophe, you can rely on your course of action.
Of course, it’s possible to miss a point or two in your plan on some days.
But if you follow it regularly, you know you’re moving in the right direction.
- Get enough sleep! Minimum 6 hours.
- Drink water! At least 1.5 liters.
- Do your daily to-do list before checking emails.
- Start by doing the top 3 most important tasks of the day FIRST.
- Eliminate distractions while working: Use the Pomodoro Apps.
- 5 to 20 minutes of daily exercise (walk, yoga…).
- At the end of the day, note your daily successes to stop seeing the cup as half empty.
The idea is to have a direction, to create a consistent routine, and stick to it as best as you can.
Because even if the day goes haywire, you can always fall back on that.
