As a productivity coach, I’ve often observed this phenomenon among leaders and managers: the Streetlight Syndrome.
It’s the tendency to search for solutions only in the areas where the light already shines—where we feel comfortable, where we have experience—rather than exploring less familiar but potentially more fruitful areas.
🔦 But to be truly productive, sometimes you need to turn off that streetlight. This means seeking answers where they truly are, even if it involves stepping out of your comfort zone and venturing into the unknown.
🌟If you feel stuck in your quest for productivity, ask yourself: Am I looking for solutions where it’s easy, or where it’s really necessary?
As a coach, my role is to help you identify these shadowy areas and find the answers that will boost your effectiveness.
